Lincoln History Blog
In celebration of the 100 years of the Lincoln Theatre, a group of volunteers began researching the history of the Lincoln in late 2023 and have collected a trove of newspaper articles, documents, oral histories, images about the Lincoln and the other theaters in Mount Vernon and all of Skagit County. The fruits of that research will be manifested in a walking tour of downtown Mount Vernon theaters, a driving tour of historic theater sites in the rest of Skagit County, multiple blog posts on this site covering topics from the films and acts onstage, to the business of the movie business in Skagit County; exhibits at County museums, and events at the Lincoln Theatre itself.
